About Kim Huey
Kim is an independent coding and reimbursement consultant, providing auditing, training, and oversight of coding and reimbursement functions for physicians.
Kim completed three years of pre-medical education at the University of Alabama before she decided that she preferred the business side of medicine. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management and went on to obtain certification through the American Academy of Professional Coders and the American Health Information Management Association. She has also obtained certification as a Certified Healthcare Compliance Consultant and a Certified Healthcare Audit Professional (CHAP) from Compliance Resources. For over twenty-five years, Kim has worked with providers in virtually all specialties, from General Surgery to Obstetrics/Gynecology to Oncology to Internal Medicine and beyond. She has spoken at the national conference of the American Academy of Professional Coders, the Ingenix Essentials conference, Part B News' Medicare Billing 101 and has presented audio conferences for Decision Health, The Coding Institute, and Intelicode. She has served as the President of Magic City Professional Coders (Birmingham, Alabama) and was a founding member of Capital City Coders (Montgomery, Alabama). Kim has recently moved into her newest position as the Vice President of Compliance Resources and is looking forward to expanding the compliance services to better serve her customers. |

Expanding on ICD-10:
Kim is joining us again to help us navigate the waters of ICD-10. The deadline is closer than ever, and we all need to be prepared. This session will cover the current updates and implementation of ICD-10s and code set transactions with an emphasis on anatomy and medical terminology. This is a must attend workshop for all.
